Grief & Gratitude

We experience a complicated variety of emotions and everyday we try and find ways, to acknowledge and accept them. Extreme and opposite emotions can exist together, for example, you may grief about something tragic that you might have experienced along with you can be grateful about another thing at the same time.

Neither of the emotion has to validate the other. In life your emotions fall on a spectrum, where different emotions & feelings sit and life can place you on at two or more spots on this spectrum at the same time. The complicated the emotions you experience the colorful the life you get to live!

And as we know that life is uncertain how could we wish to have only a certain set of emotions, right? Now that We see as to why these various emotions that we experience over the period of our life are necessary, we need to accept and embrace them.

Emotions make who you are!

A poem ' The ball' by John Berryman (Link to The Ball By John Berryman) talks about how a small kid loses his ball and is pretty sad about it. But, what you might overlook reading that poem is; that this young boy experiences a complete new emotion, "loss". He loved to have that ball by him but now it's loss saddens him. With this new experience his life is more vibrant, full of emotions with variety.

See yourself as this kid!

You may now have refreshed your emotion of loss. But remember you loved the one you now have lost. Let the ball go away and experience the loss and remember you might get new and a better ball too, because that's how life is!

It's just a phase?

One thing about emotions is that they are not forever so what you experience live it. Let pain and joy to come and go as it is.

You just live it all!
