My Dearest Mountains,

We all love a little travel, don't we? So, while I was missing a nice vacation by the mountains that are almost a second home to me I wrote a little letter and read on! Also, don't forget to drop your comments & ideas about mountains or your favourite vacation destination.

My Dearest Mountains,

How do I start to express the depth of my love for you?

I remember the first time I laid eyes on your majestic peaks, even then as a child I knew that I was forever in your hold.

I haven’t travelled very far or into the unknown, but I know that nothing would compare to the feeling of being in your presence. Your tough yet calm exterior always takes my breath away, and the way you tower above everything & everyone else in the world reminds me of just how small and insignificant my problems truly are. You give me complete silent support.

I have hiked your trails with friends & family, camped under your stars, and braved your snow-capped peaks. Become friends with complete strangers in your magnificent company. And though I might come to see you all the time, you never cease to amaze me. 

I remember the last time when the sunlight danced off the rocky trails as a lover renouncing the whole world for their lover without a fail. When the mist early in the mornings holds close your peaks, and the way your silence speaks. You challenge me to be my best self and teach me strength & endurance while reminding me of my limitations and the importance of humility.

You teach me the meaning of patience, as I wait for the perfect weather conditions to come to see you. You taught me the importance of taking risks, as I navigated your tricky trails. And most importantly, you have taught me the value of perseverance, as I push through the tough times and reached the peak.

I can never fully describe how much you mean to me, my dear mountains. But I promise to continue to love you, admire you, and explore you, for as long as I live.
